WheatBlog has been down since November 17th. The good folks at blogger.com upgraded their servers and ever since then, I can post but can't publish my blog. So I decided to start a new one, in case the older one is down for good. If that's the case, I'll add in the archives here. But for now, I'm starting over from scratch.

Our main server, ubets.uark.edu had a bad hard drive crash Monday. We're going to have to rebuild it from scratch and reinstall all of the office staff's files and the web server files from backups. Not much fun. On the good side, we'll have all new components (like we now have on our other server, lithe.uark.edu which we rebuilt recently): the latest linux, and NuSphere MySQL (the only way to go if you need MySQL, PHP4, and Apache to work harmoniously on your server).

I'm trying to finish up my M.A. thesis this week. My goal (well, my most recent goal) was to have it by the end of this month, and I'm still shooting for that. I made mucho progress Sunday night. I hope tonight will be more of the same.
