Pattern I of the A Natural Minor scale covers frets 5–8 and has root notes on the 6th string and the 4th string. If you already know Pattern I of the Minor Pentatonic, this will feel very familiar — the Natural Minor adds the 2nd (B) and the b6 (F) to fill out the sound.
