The Am Blues Scale is formed by adding the b5 to the Am Pentatonic Scale. Pattern I, in Am, covers frets 5-8 and has root notes on the 6th string, the 4th string, and the 1st string. We will cover all five patterns of the Blues Scale elsewhere. But Pattern I is so often substituted for Pattern I of the Minor Pentatonic, that I want to include it here.
